1. Swimming is the same time for the girls on Thursday May 2, and Tuesday May 7th UNLESS your coach has said otherwise.  Please be there, as they are being tested!

 

2. AGM is Monday May 6th at 6pm, 381 Princess Blvd, please try to make this meeting.

 

3. Final swim fun night is Thursday May 9th 6:30-8pm for ALL girls.

Hello everyone!  Congratulations to all the girls for a great weekend and performances!  Hope everyone has recovered from the fabulous synchro weekend...minus the flu bug!

 

Just a few notes, we met with the coaches tonight and here’s how the end of the year is looking:

 

****Synchro will be at the regular times/days up until May 9th UNLESS you are told otherwise from your coach. 

 

****April 30th is the water show.  Start time is 7:15pm, the girls MUST be at the pool by 6:30pm with hair done (knoxed), head piece in and have their group bathing suit, coaches will have make up at the pool for the girls. The water show is where the girls are doing their routine they did at the Crocus Challenge.  Please invite all your friends and family to come see what the girls have been working so hard for this year.

 

****May 9th is the wind up/fun night, note the time will be 6:30-8pm for everyone.

 

Some parents have been asking, and we do not have the results yet from the Crocus Challenge sorry

The deck suits will be ready on Tuesday for pick up.

 

Patty will be at the pool at 7:30 to hand out to those who needed one.

Crocus Challenge Schedule

 

 

April 12, Friday (night)

 

4:00pm – be in Winnipeg

4:30 - all meet in the lobby of hotel, leave for the pan am pool

5:00 - 6:00 - clinic/rehearsal at Pan Am pool

 

 

April 13, Saturday (all day)

 

6:00am - girls need to be up and fed

6:30 - 8:00 - hair and head pieces

8:15 – leave for the Pan Am pool

9:00 – Challenge begins!

Approx 1:00 – girls are free to stay and watch other synchro groups

Hotel change

DUE TO CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES, WE HAVE CHANGED OUR HOTEL FROM THE HOLIDAY INN, TO CANAD INN FORT GARRY FOR THE CROCUS CHALLENGE WEEKEND.

We apologize to those who have booked at the Holiday Inn already and for the inconvenience for you having to cancel your Holiday Inn booking and rebook at Canad Inn, but we believe it’s in everyone's best interest for parking, better rooms, food, and pool (girls will have a water slide).

We have until March 22nd to book at the Canad Inn, you are again responsible to make your own booking. If you book after that date you are not guaranteed the price we have. Please see below for hotel number and information.

The rate is the same but we now have King suites, $115.00 per night plus taxes would come out to $134.85 per night.

deck suits

Parents new and old, we forgot one ingredient to take care of and have in the parent letter you received today.

At 7:30 on Thursday Patty will be at the pool to collect any deck suits you have that don't fit your girls anymore and will give them out to girls that need them or size you for what you need.

Deck suits are shorts and a top that are fabulous for water, they dry very quickly. They are donated every year so there is no cost. The girls wear them on the deck in Winnipeg before and after their competition.

Please, if you have deck suits that are too small bring them on Thursday, and if your daughter needs one see Patty.

1.       If your daughter needs a black bathing suit for the Crocus Challenge, and every girl does need one, the final order is being done this week.  You can reply to this email by Thursday February 28^th with what size your daughter needs, the cost is $55 and it must be paid in full to Colleen McKee, she will be at the pool on Thursday at 7:30 to collect.

2.       There will be a parent information meeting on Friday, March 8^th at Kenda’s house 7pm (368 Green Street).  We will have a brief information meeting regarding the Crocus challenge and answer any questions you may have.  Following the meeting we will be making the girl’s headpieces.  A reminder will be sent out again closer to this date, please do your best to be there.

3.       Our water show is scheduled in Flin Flon for Tuesday April 30^th, please mark it on your calendars and tell your family to take that night off to see the progress your girls have made this year!

4.       Please don’t forget to book your hotel room before March 12, 1800-423-1337, you are responsible to make your own booking and it is MANDATORY that we all stay at the same hotel.  It will be too difficult to communicate with each other if we are all over Winnipeg and we are a team let’s have a great weekend!

Crocus Challenge hotel rooms

A block of 22 rooms at the holiday inn in winnipeg is being held for us.
After taxes it is $135.95 per night.

It is booked under FF Aqua Doves, the cut off date to book is March 12,
2013.

After that extra rooms will be released. You are in charge of booking your
own room, call 1800-423-1337 to reserve.

***There is a parent meeting on Thursday, December 6th poolside at 7:30pm. We will present the current budget and this is a good time to bring up any questions or concerns you may have.

Please note on the calendar that synchro is over for the year on the 11th due to the Creighton school concert being on the 13th. On the 11th all the girls please be there for 6:30 for a Christmas party that will end at 8pm.

You will see there is a mandatory clinic for the girls and coaches on the weekend of the 26, 27, 28th. This is a fabulous learning opportunity for the girls to have time with a synchro coach coming in from Winnipeg.

Please note the final planning for this clinic is still in the works, and once the final times your girls have to be at the pool are decided I will send out that information to you.

Welcome back!

This Tuesday, September 18th at 6:30pm is the first day of synchro. Please fill out the registration form attached and have your cheque or cheques ready in order to speed up registration.

We will also have the supplies out from the locker available for purchase if you want to “stock up” for the year.

 

 

We are currently reviewing the upcoming year. In order to proceed with our budget to present to you, please let us know by September 10th whether or not your child is returning to synchro for the 2012/2013 year.

***We are planning a parent meeting where we need to have the budget (which will determine registration costs) and by laws approved by you the parents for the upcoming year, this meeting is set for Tuesday September 11th, 7pm at 381 Princess Blvd (in garage). (Please bring a lawn chair if you can.)***

***First day of synchro and registration will be Tuesday September 18th at 6:30pm for all members.***

Please keep in mind we need a couple of executive positions filled: fundraising coordinator and equipment manager.

Meeting

There will be a quick parent meeting on Tuesday April 17th at 7:30 just to
finalize things before the Crocus challenge. Meeting is at the aqua center.
